Berit Vordal new Festival Director
Berit Vordal in the new Festival Director of Kosmorama Trondheim International Film Festival. She usesd to be general manager of the successful outdoor historical theatre Elden at Røros this year, and has been artistic director and general manager of the Regional Theatre in Nord-Trøndelag. Berit Vordal was communications advisor in Røe Communications before joining Kosmorama.
- With Berit Vordal as our new Director Kosmorama strengthens its position as one of the most important film festivals. Berit will provide us with a financial and operational experience that will increase the public and our partners' view of Kosmorama as an important event in Trondheim, says chairman Egil Akselsen.
Extensive management experience
Berit Vordal has extensive leadership experience in cultural and voluntary organizations. In addition to direct Elden and the Nord-Trøndelag Theatre, she has 12 years experience as head of the Nord-Trøndelag Theatre Cooperative.
She was regional director of LHL Trondheim from 2004 - 2009. She was also part of developing the Youth Festivals UKM in Nord-Trøndelag, where she was part of the management team for 10 years with responsibility for technical implementation of the county muster.
-I look forward to the task of developing Kosmorama on as one of the most important film festivals in the country, says Berit Vordal. She says that one of her most important tasks is to ensure the financing of the festival.
Ola Lund Renolen continues
Ola Lund Renolen, the previous Festival Director, will continue to work for the festival as head of the Program Department.
