An internship without any comparison
Never before has there been so many interns gathered under Kosmorama's roof. This year, the internship positions has extended to apply: Event Coordinator, Guest Coordinator, Marketing Coordinator and Information and Volunteer Coordinator.
But what are our positions based on? What experiences will you be left with after an internship in Kosmorama?
- The volunteers contribute so much to our festival. We have learned that they get involved and come with new and fresh ideas. This year we received several interns on staff, and this gives us a good feeling that we are getting closer to the festival, says festival producer Bente Maalen.
Steep learning curve
There are many benefits being an intern for Kosmorama. In a future professional life, one can look back on: hectic days, a wide network, great experiences, useful experience and the feeling of having helped create one of Trondheim's finest cultural happening. And a nice reference.
- We offer the interns a job where they can experience a steep learning curve. There is a lot to put themselves into on a short time, lots of information and tasks that will be distributed on the interns all of the time, says Bente.
Free reins
Common for the interns is that they must work independently and have free reins to do whatever they feel like doing. Chaos is absolutely guaranteed, but in the process you will learn much about the film, people, organization, communication and stress management. It is also important to maintain a dialogue with the rest of the administration so that everything is at all times co-ordinated.
Who knows, maybe next year it may be your turn to join the festival carousel?
