Exclusive Sigur Rós experience at Rockheim
Sunday October 23. you will have an exclusive opportunity to see the concert documentary Inni by Vincent Morriset.
Inni is a feature length concert documentary about Sigur Rós, Iceland's biggest music export next to Bjørk. Sigur Rós had an international breakthrough in 1999 with the single Svefn-g-angels and the album Ágætis byrjun. The band's evocative and powerful music was quickly labeled as post-rock and experimental indie, compared to other like-minded people like Mogwai, Tortoise, Spiritualized and The Flaming Lips. Sigur Rós has moved from the Icelandic underground to major international venues, with one million sales, celebrity fans (Tom Cruise, Madonna, Brad Pitt ...) and star status as a result.
At the end of 2011, Sigur Rós has released six albums, and the seventh - the live album Inni - is on its way. They have previously been presented on the big screen in the documentary Heima (2007), and in September this year the group's four members and director Vincent Morriset was present in Venice when Kosmorama's delegates were so captivated by the movie, music and mood that the decision was taken there and then: Inni need to be screened in Trondheim, as soon as possible. And we are proud to present this exclusive Sigur Rós experience at Rockheim Sunday October 23. Welcome!
