Welcome to KosmoRock

Rockheim and Kosmorama collaborate for the first time and give you KosmoRock 2011. A festival in the festival that containes rock movies, concerts and dining.

Rockheim is the national center for pop and rock. They collect, preserve and pass on Norwegian popular music from the 1950s to the present day.

Four of the six films in the KosmoRock program is to appear on the Rockheim-stage at this year's Kosmorama Trondheim International Film Festival in addition to screenings at the Nova cinema.
Two of them is steaming fresh from South By Southwest Film Festival in Austin, Texas: The Other F Word, about how the punk musician deals with becoming a dad, and Upside Down: The Creation Records Story, which is two decades of British rock in one intense package.

KosmoRock  starts on Wednesday 6th of April at Rockheim with the documentary Do It Again -about The Kinks. Afterwards there will be a concert with Well Respected, a Kinks cover band.

KosmoRock 2011 covers everything from the 60s to the present day. From The Kinks and Motörhead to California punk and The Magnetic Fields, with genius Stephin Merrittin in the lead.
Film Festival become some sort of a rock festival. At least when its all drizzled with Creation Records party at Blæst and a concert with the well known norwegian band Raga Rockers - live in the Festival Tent - Saturday evening.
- It's nice to be able to watch music videos in a social context, with food and exceptional sound, "says head of Kosmorama, Ola Lund Renolen.

- We hope that this only is the beginning of a long-term cooperation, says Rockheim director, Petter Myhr.
