Charlie and Nidar chocolate factory
Kosmorama would like to invite you and your whole family to see the blockbuster Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at Nidar chocolate factorys premises at Dora. And not to worry: there is enough chocolate for everyone!
Kosmorama has an annual tradition to bring movies out of the cinema and out in the public.
- Going to a filmfestival should be something completely different than going to the movies. It`s not just about watching a movie, it should give you something more. An experience or a feeling, says head of the festival, Ola Lund Renolen.
A Roald Dahl- theme
Previous years we have had screenings of for example Jaws and Finding Nemo in Trondheims waterpark, Pirbadet, Das Boot in the old german submarine bunker, Dora and Jeanne D'Arc in Nidaros Cathedral. Last year we showed the horror film The Descent and Disney's Snow White in an old mine outside of Trondheim.
This year, Roald Dahl, who is the subject, and in that connection, reference Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in Nidar stock on Dora.
The book by Roald Dahl from 1964 has been filmed twice. At Nidar we show Tim Burton's version from 2005, with Johnny Depp starring as Willy Wonka. The film deals with issues like class divisions and greed, and have a fairytale-like narrative style.
You can see the original version from 1971 at the Nova cinema. The same applies for many of the film adaptation of Roald Dahl's books, such as Mathilda (1996), Danny the Champion of the World (1989) and Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009).
This is the largest family event during Kosmorama. Children as well as adults are invited to take part in Roald Dahl's universe in a whole new and exciting way.
The adventure begins Saturday 9th April 15.00p.m. and. 18.00p.m.
