Kosmorama Trondheim International Film Festival

 

Film, celebration, talent and technology were the four foundations that Kosmorama was built upon six years ago.

Kosmorama was established in 2004, and the festival was arranged for the first time from april 12^thto 17^th 2005. Kosmorama is ment to strenghten the film in middle Norway, and also contribute the innovation of intersection between culture and business. In addition of beeing a festival for the audience, Kosmorama offers exciting and professional film-concerning social gatherings.

The film is Kosmorama's solid base. This year, we can proudly present director Terje Rangnes´ feature film "En helt vanlig dag på jobben" to open the festival. The rest of this years festival programme, containing more than 60 movies from all over the world, will be presented in march.

The party is what´s hapening when film bring people togehter - the mingling and banteer with film lovers, both the self taught an dthe scholars. Guests, gala screenings and award shows are all part of the Kosmorama film celebration. And a special mention must go to the Kanon Award, Norway's finest award show. Like the Oscars, the filmmakers themselves decide the winners by vote.

At Kosmorama, talent means talent to create, and we aim to
become the most important Norwegian festival for the film
producton business. The Kanon Award, The Debutant Award,
The Film Stunt, The Kosmonaut and The Film Pitch are very
important parts of the talent focus. We are proud of the fact
that the biggest box office success of 2008, Max Manus
(the picture), took its first steps towards realisation when the
project won the Film Pitch in 2006. 

 

This year Kosmorama also arrange the Miracle Seminar in Verdalen. Directors, producers, screenwriters, actors and other professionals get together to discuss how to reach the ambitons goals set by minister of culture for the Norwegian film business.
