During this year’s festival, Kosmorama will take the minister of cultural affairs, Trond Giske, and the government’s report on films ambitious goals for the Norwegian film industry seriously. We will gather both current and future filmmakers to a seminar that we hope will be the first of many. The seminar is entitled Miracle Seminar and will take place at Bårdshaug manor on the 8th and 9th of March. Giske’s ambitions are enormous; 25 Norwegian productions a year. 3 million sold tickets a year, of which 25% to Norwegian films. As well as Norwegian film winning prestigious awards like Golden Palms, Golden Bears, Golden Lions and Oscars. The seminar aim is to meet and discuss how to accomplish these goals. The seminar is a collaboration between Kosmorama and the industry’s special interest organizations, and will have inspiring workshops, lectures by interesting national and international film workers and engaging debates on the path Norwegian film will take in the future. |
