The festival, which celebrates it 5-year anniversary this year, starts Thursday the 5th of March and ends on the 10th of March.
- We’re presenting the best film programme ever, says festival director, Ola Lund Renolen.
An entire 447 films were evaluated for the festival: 90 of which made it through to the festival. 14 films compete in the main competition.
- These are films with a capital F – there’s great storytelling, poetry and splendid craftsmanship, Renolen adds.
The press has given praise to the programme already. “A solid package of world cinema”, Trondheim’s main newspaper, Adresseavisen, wrote.
Of the 90 films that are screened, 17 are made by women, and of the 14 in the main competition six are by women filmmakers – and that’s without being quoted in.
Tickets for Kosmorama are sold at Trondheim Kino’s regular box offices at Prinsen Kinosenter, Nova Kinosenter and in Trondheim Torg – as well as online.
The festival screenings are without numbered seats. Unused tickets are made available right before the respective screenings start. Therefore: show up in good time before the film. After the screening have started there won’t be given any refunds.
