Kosmorama is opened!

Many visitors from both the domestic and international film industries will attend Kosmorama Trondheim international film festival which opened March 5th.

The festival last until Tuesday 10th of March. 78 feature length films from 34 different nationalities are part of this year's festival.

Among the known names on the guest list are directors Bodhan Sláma (guest of honour), Lukas Moodysson and Barbara Cupisti. Other guest are actors Aksel Hennie and Agnes Kittelsen, private investigator Tore Sandberg and artist Håkon Bleken.
The opening will be by the Mayor of Trondheim, Rita Ottervik.
The Norwegian minister of cultural affairs, Trond Giske, will attend the festival on two of the days; Friday 6th and the last day, Tuesday 10th.

- I'm very content with this years film guests. We're especially happy that Lukas Moodysson is coming to the opening. We're also very pleased to have Czech director Bodhan Sláma as the guest of honour, says director of Kosmorama, Ola Lund Renolen.
Among the many highlights during the festival is the screening of one the all time best war films, Das Boot, at the submarine bunker Dora 1. The film is screened as a part of the Submarine division of the Norwegian Navy's 100-year anniversary. In addition to the screening of the film there will be an opportunity to take a closer look on a submarine, listen to lectures and see an exhibition.

On Monday the 9th of March the winners of the Kanon Award are celebrated. The Kanon Award is the Norwegian version of the more known Academy Award – the film industry's own award, voted by the Norwegian film industry. The award is given to the best performances in Norwegian film during the last year. The Kanon Award Show is a night of glamour, surprises and a spectacular show.
