Lukas Moodysson to Kosmorama

The Swedish director Lukas Moodysson will attend the opening of Kosmorama Trondheim international film festival. Moodysson's newest film, Mammut, will open the festival, and is also part of the main competition at this year's festival.

- We're very happy that Moodysson comes to Trondheim, this will make this opening a special one. We'll do what we can to make him feel welcome, director of Kosmorama, Ola Lund Renolen, says.
During Kosmorama there will be opportunities to see Lukas Moodysson's entire film production. From Fucking Åmål to his very latest film, Mammut.

Lukas Moodysson (born 1969 in Malmö) had a sensational breakthrough with his debut film, "Fucking Åmål" in 1998. With "Tillsammans" (2000) he gained the position as one of the absolute favourites in Nordic cinema.

The films following Fucking Åmål and Tillsammans have been more challenging, and Moodyssons has experimented very much with film form and stories. With Mammut, he returns to a type of narrative which is both classic and modern.

Mammut is also part of the Relations programme at Kosmorama 2009, selected by Kosmorama curator Eli Gjerde.
