Louise is a corpulent and suppressed middle aged woman who loses her job at the factory after the owner dismantles it over night and disappears. The union members soon realise that there is no chance of putting the factory owner to justice. Instead, Louise suggests they hire a hit man; at least this will get rid of the prick. They unanimously agree and Louise has to find a man for the job. Michel is a ”professional”. He is also a paranoid with psychopathic traits, utterly incompetent and harmless. Paid to put a dog to sleep, he fires in the air and tries to convince the dog that it has to be quiet and run away. Together they become Louise-Michel, one of the strangest partnerships in film history.
This is a nihilistic and black comedy with a host of unforgettable scenes. Louise Michel was in real life a famous anarchist during the Paris commune and the 1870 uprising. She proclaimed that in a society where some are exceedingly rich, it is the moral right and duty of the poorest to steal from them.
