Girolamo, a mysterious and reticent businessman, has lived in a Swiss hotel for eight years. He seems not to work much and has little and purely superficial contact with his divorced wife and adult children. He is spending his time in the hotel bar, impeccably dressed, silently and alone – smoking and waiting. Only his weekly shot of heroin breaks his routine. The story is unfolding almost imperceptibly, revealing both past secrets and mafia ties.
