The word Kosmorama means a perspektive picture of the landmarks of the world, which was the original ambition behind Trondheims very first movie theatre. Kosmorama Theatre was opened in 1910 by the local entrepeneur Paul Kraüsslich. True to his stated goal, he travelled all over the country, and brought back footage of everything from Lofotens fisheries to the World Speed Skating Championship and the Royal Family.

This energetic and tireless film pioneer remains a source of inspiration for us as we, a century later strive to create our own Kosmorama.
