| The Kosmorama Award |
| The Kosmorama Award is the festival’s main award, for the best film of the Main Competition. The award is a price of NOK 100 000, to a Norwegian distributor who aquires the winning film for theatrical release. If the winning film already has a Norwegian distributor, the award is NOK 50 000. |
| Julietta Sichel |
| Julietta Sichel is a PhD in film history and theory with a doctorate on the early history of cinema in the Austrian-Hungarian monarchy. In 1995 she joined the program department at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, one of Europe’s leading festivals. Since 2005 she is the KVIFF program director. |
| Pascal Träschlin |
| Pascal Träschlin is a journalism and media sociology graduate. He has done what every cineast dreams of: In 2003, he and some good friends founded their own little acquisition and distribution company for arthouse films. In 2004 they expanded into production with Cineworx Filmproduktion, and they are making a living from their business – in Basel. |
| Lisa Werlinder |
| Lisa Werlinder is a Swedish actress. Upon graduating from the Swedish Theatre Academy, she worked with Ingmar Bergman the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm. She has featured in films by Per Fly, Bille August and Colin Nutley, among others. At Kosmorama 2009 she features in The Black Pimpernel by Åsa Faringer and Ulf Hultberg. |
