| Kosmorama is the film festival for new talents, and one of our most prestigious awards is The Debutant Award. The award is 50 000 NOK, awarded to the producer and the director of the winning film. This year’s 17 nominees for The Debutant Award are chosen from the entire Kosmorama program, and feature both fiction and documentary films. |

| Dag Hoel is a producer in Faction Film. Over the years, he has produced a wide range of documentaries covering a variety of subjects, with cross cultural relations as a common topic in many of the films. From time to time he also directs his own films. |

| Gyde Velvin Myklebust |
| Gyda Velvin Myklebust is working for the Norwegian Film Festival in Haugesund, where she is head of programming for the New Nordic Films market.She is also in charge of the Nordic Co-Production Forum. She has her education as a culture worker from the University of Oslo and the Bø College. |
| Elena Pollacchi |
| Elena Pollacchi has a PhD in Chinese cinema, and she lectures at the University of Venice. She has worked as program consultant for major film festivals (Venice, Turin), and since 2007 she has coordinated the Venice International Film Critics’ Week. |
